The 2008 Alternative Investment Conference
was presented
by:

The Eighth Annual Alternative Investment
Conference took place on
December 2-4, 2008 at the Four Seasons Troon North in Scottsdale, Arizona.
This educational event brought together Canada’s leading innovators and practitioners in the area of alternative investments to share their views, practices and theories on this increasingly important investment area. Taking part in this exclusive think-tank on alternative investment strategies are Canada’s senior pension plan decision-makers, practitioners and academics. They discussed key topics relating to the theme of this year's event, The Changing Role of Alternatives, such as private equity, infrastructure, hedge funds and long/short strategies.
The conference is hosted by the Canadian Investment Review,
in partnership with the Richard Ivey School of Business,
University of Western Ontario. The event is also endorsed by the Alternative Investment Manangement Association (AIMA). Coverage of the conference
will be included in an upcoming issue of CIR.
