DC plan sponsors and members share the common goal of attaining sufficient retirement income for the member. However, while plan members shoulder the greater burden of risk and responsibility, they also exhibit low levels of understanding about their plans and investments and often make inappropriate choices—particularly during periods of market volatility—which may put both the member and the plan sponsor at risk. This year’s event will look at lessons learned from 2008/09 and how the DC landscape will change moving forward, with a focus on how to influence member behaviours in a positive way.

This is a special conference, designed solely for senior-level personnel at DC pension plan sponsor organizations. The spirit of the DC Plan Summit is purely educational; a retreat or "think tank" forum for discussion and debate among leading thinkers in the field of defined contribution plans.
