The 2008 Healthy Outcomes Conference (HOC) took place on April 9-11 in Lake Louise, Alberta.
The HOC is a forum bringing together senior-level decision-makers within public and private health payer groups to discuss the common challenges of managing workplace health and share solutions for improving employee health and productivity.
The theme for this year’s conference is Improving Employee Engagement. The event will showcase the latest strategies and solutions for motivating employees at risk, as well as solutions for absenteeism, integrating pharmacists and other healthcare practitioners into workplace health and emerging and future trends that will impact engagement.
The conference is designed for senior-level personnel within plan sponsor organizations in both the public and private sector. The spirit of the conference is purely educational—a "think tank" forum for discussion and debate among leading thinkers in health management. A special conference report will be published in a 2008 issue of Working Well magazine.
