The advantages to this approach are multiple, almost as much as the challenges involved in the transition. Bipolar Disorder: Improving the Diagnosis
Bipolar disorder is ranked by the World Health Organization as one of the top 10 causes of disability in the world and is associated with high costs to society in healthcare resources and lost productivity. In this presentation, Dr. Taylor will provide an overview of the epidemiology of bipolar disorder and address issues related to improving the diagnosis of this illness. Current treatment guidelines will also be discussed, with an emphasis on minimizing physical co-morbidity.
